Personnel: LAW Welcomes John P. Judge

John P. Judge has recently joined the environmental and land use boutique law firm, Land Air Water Legal Solutions LLC (LAW). Mr. Judge continues to build upon LAW’s “big firm” experience, expertise and service, combined with technical expertise in engineering and science.

Mr. Judge has over 25 years of experience in environmental counseling, permitting and litigation, and has represented clients in state and federal courts in Pennsylvania and New Jersey in virtually all areas of environmental law, including hazardous waste regulation, Superfund cost recovery actions, Clean Air Act enforcement, toxic tort litigation, and clean water regulation. Mr. Judge has also been environmental counsel to several high profile brownfields redevelopment projects, and represents a number of clients in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries.

Before joining LAW, Mr. Judge was the Vice Chair of Montgomery, McCracken’s Environmental practice group, was a partner with Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott, LLC, and worked as a scientist in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s aquatic toxicology and wetlands regulation groups.

Mr. Judge graduated from Indiana University School of Law (J.D., 1985) and received his master’s degree in Environmental Science from the Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs in 1986. In 1980, he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Botany from the University of Massachusetts.

“A number of our lawyers have known and worked with John throughout his career, and have always been impressed by his keen intellect and exceptional legal skills,” said David Buzzell of LAW. “John will be a tremendous asset for our clients, and his listing in the 2012 Chambers USA Client’s Guide just reinforces what we and his clients already knew–that John is a fantastic lawyer and a terrific individual.”
